REMOVAL
NOTE
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, main-
tenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect fluid with suitable
containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing flu-
ids.
Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Drill three evenly spaced pilot holes in crankshaft rear seal (1) assembly.
NOTE
Use care not to damage crankshaft flange when crankshaft rear seal is removed.

Using slide hammer, alternate between drilled holes to
remove crankshaft rear seal (1) assembly. Discard seal

assembly.
